This is a video containing my thoughts on Sam Pepper's recent video, as well as his attempts to pass it off as a "social experiment".

As I said in the beginning, I'd filmed this earlier in the week, when the Sam Pepper situation was just beginning to gain momentum, but so much happened seemingly all at once prior to me editing said video, so I decided to refilm it. I wanted the points I touched upon here to be as up-to-date as possible (at least, as of this upload).

Sam Pepper recently made a series of videos (the first two of which are no longer on YouTube, but were reuploaded on Facebook by Sam) displaying blatant sexual harassment, the first of which showed him inappropriately touching women, and the second showing a female friend of his inappropriately touching. men. After the (rightful) backlash against him, Sam attempted to convince the YouTube community at large that this was all part of his master plan -- a "social experiment", if you will -- to show the differences between sexual harassment against men and women.

However, there are several glaring issues with Sam's explanation of these events, and his execution of his "experiment" overall -- if we're to believe that his was, in fact, his plan from the start -- which I'll hopefully explain and clarify in this video.

Also, even if he was truly trying to do some good in the world with this whole disaster of a video trilogy, someone with his already-terrible track record of taking advantage of women on YouTube for views and money should be the LAST person trying to make a point about sexual assault.

I truly hope and urge popular YouTubers to make videos about this (and the larger problem of abuse on YouTube) as well. Many big-name personalities in this community have called out Sam Pepper's actions on social media, but they should do so ON YOUTUBE, the same platform on which Sam perpetrated his actions. You have the power to make a positive, widespread change in this community, and if no other time, why the hell not now?
