The Quest for Cake | Distant Kingdoms - Part 1 - Early Access (Fantasy City Builder)
359Distant Kingdoms returns to the channel but this time it's the fancy Early Access version, which not only means that we can enjoy the free play mode but we also get to select what fantasy race we want to play as, which is very exciting! After a bit of dithering we elect to play as the Dwarves, partly because of their hard working ethic but mostly because they're described as "some of the loveliest people you'll ever meet"! Perfect!
We choose to settle up in the mountainous area of Windy Peaks. Our settlement grows quickly and we soon have ourselves the basics, like wood, berries and water. We then move into the world of magic, creating some splendid mana wells and then using their power to build some portals that we use to move our resources around a lot quicker!
As we work through the tech tree we get ourselves a tavern which enables us to employ a band of unlikely Heroes who go exploring and expanding our lands!
Exploring the tech tree also reveals a very unusual research option, one that we set our sights firmly upon... the secrets of cake itself!
