Y Chromosome Noah -
The last Y chromosomal ancestor of all men on the planet today is Noah (Y chromosome Noah). He has been discovered directly in the genetics of human beings (specifically males). To reiterate, we only find 1 male Y chromosome. Every single male Y chromosome on the planet is nearly identical and has been traced back to our last Y chromosome ancestor—Noah. The rate at which fathers pass on genetic mistakes (copying errors in DNA) to their children is fast (roughly 1-3 per generation). Fast mutation rates are not consistent with an origin of humans going back 100s of thousands of years.
The fact that there exists only 1 Y chromosome did not have to be true in the evolutionary model. The only way to explain a Y chromosome that mutates fast and has very low genetic variation is by the Young Earth Creation model. This data demonstrates compellingly that the Y chromosome is young.
Y Chromosome Dissimilarity -
The Y chromosome dissimilarity (between humans and chimpanzees) challenge to the evolutionary community remains unresolved.
Evolutionism (the idea that all life including whales and strawberries are related through common ancestry) is precluded completely by a great multitude of scientific data and evidence from all fields of science - especially in the world of genetics. This is just one of the many genetic lines of evidence that precludes common descent.
When you consider overall gene content, size differences, and genomic architecture, the Y chromosomes between humans and chimpanzees are drastically different! The Y chromosomes are only roughly 40% the same. The chimpanzee Y chromosome is only half the size of the human Y chromosome! There exists far too much difference to be accounted for in evolutionary timeframes (since the hypothetical split between the human and chimpanzee common ancestor).
As a matter of fact, the gorilla Y is more similar to the human Y than either are to the chimpanzee Y (when you consider the entirety of the Y chromosome). This is just one of the many inconsistencies in the so-called phylogenetic tree of life.
Evolutionists do not just have to explain minor gene loss. No, they have to explain massive changes in chromosomal arrangement, incredible gene loss, and the addition of entirely novel gene families and sequences. This precludes entirely the idea that humans and chimpanzees split from a common ancestor roughly 6-9 million years ago.
The various hypotheses proposed (sperm competition in chimpanzees, higher rates of mutation accumulation, faster rates of gene conversion, etc.) all currently go untested. These explanations are nothing more than rescue devices that lack evidential or experimental support. Until these rescue mechanisms are thoroughly tested, or a sophisticated mathematical model is presented, these explanations remain unscientific - and the theory they attempt to rescue remains unsupported.
