John "Ringo" Baker, on the run from the army for shooting an army officer in self-defense, ends up in a town by the name of Gunlock. He befriends local ranch owners who are having problems with a land baron trying to take their land. Ringo, while looking over his shoulder for the army, helps the ranch owners in their fight.
This is another solid B-movie western from Republic Pictures, good cast, decent script, and a director known for doing westerns.
