In this little documentary, we are tracing the history and evolution of the Red Dead franchise and how it almost didn't came to be, from the rise of Angel Studios as a developer to creating Red Dead Revolver with Capcom, to almost scrapping the project, to being bought by Rockstar and transforming into Rockstar San Diego.

We also cover the development phases and challenges of the first Red Dead Redemption game and how it drew from Revolver and GTA to create something new entirely, the most organic open-world of its time. We mention how the technology evolved, how the horse movement was captured with such detail, and how John Marston and the unique time period came to be presented.
