That was one messy divorce between Michael and his (ex)wife, Melanie! At least Mike doesn't have to pay any alimony, but now, he's single again. When the relationships in Sim families deteriorate, a fight could break out between two adult Sims. And whomever loses the fight may leave the lot for good. And just like when Sim kids get sent to military school, once a Sim leaves the lot after a fight, they never come back!

Sims start to leave the lot after losing fights with the Livin' Large expansion pack.
