In the UK over 41 million scans take place every year using x-rays, MRI and ultrasound.

In an emergency, at the bedside or even in an ambulance, it can be complicated to get a patient to one of these large machines.

But now, a portable medical device has been made available which could change all that - giving doctors and patients instant access to ultrasound at dramatically reduced costs. We took a look.
