The Stanley Parable 1080p HD (Let's find the different endings)
The Stanley Parable was originally a Half Life 2 mod in 2011 that was so popular that it got a full HD remake in 2013 for PC. It was made by Galactic Cafe and is short of a interactive story book, although I have heard the expression 'Walking simulator' for these types of titles.
The story takes place in a standard office building with a lowly worker called Stanley who looks after the data that comes in via his computer screen. When the computer screen goes blank he is forced to leave the safety of his room and finds that the place is devoid of co-workers.
Whilst there isn't much in terms of game here, the controls are simple and require nothing more than moving about, looking with the mouse and the use key. There very little interactivity with the environment however the basic story / narrative is what keeps you hooked. Throughout the game, the only person you hear is from the narrator, who tells you what Stanley is about to do. Part of the fun is trying to disrupt the narrator and watching the chaos that ensues. There's lots of little strange mini games and nods to other titles such as Half Life and Minecraft to be found if you annoy him enough.
