The State of Gaming (2020)
02020 was a year that started with so much optimism and hope, but the CCP, with all it's infinite wisdom, have turned this year into hopelessness, pessimism, despair, and destruction.
Unfortunately, this uncertainty has also reached gaming, which saw two high-profile console launches this year, two games that are basically extremist propaganada, and shit tons of scalping.
I will be discussing the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario 3D All-Stars on the Switch, the homebrew ports of Super Mario 64, the Black Lives Matter movement and its connection to Sony's two "triple-A" games, "The Last of Us Part II" and "Spider-Man: Miles Morales", Sony harassing other publishers by intentionally causing "technical issues" during launches of their games (Trails of Cold Steel IV), and more issues regarding the PS5's GPU, disc drive, and overall design. I will also discuss why I do not trust ReviewTechUSA or TheQuartering, despite me agreeing with some of their viewpoints.
