The Strange City | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
201Today we archive a horror game that came out in December of 2024. The Strange City is clearly inspired by the indie hit Little Nightmares. I actually still have to archive Little Nightmares myself, but please know that I LOVE that game. Since then there have been multiple games that have been inspired by it, but none have really managed to maintain that same level of polish.
The same can be said for The Strange City, though there are some cool things here. The best thing are definitely the monster designs and how many different monster types you get to face. This adds to the variety of situations and areas you get to explore. Puzzles are good and never too complicated.
Unfortunately the biggest issue is that the controls are quite poor and this makes a few sections annoying as the controls needed to be more tight. There are also several places where the checkpoint puts you way back where you have to do things over and over again if you fail.
There is definitely some promise here, so hopefully their next project will have the polish it deserves.
