31The one instant death and the three endings to the Summoning, an old RPG where some wizards decide to summon and subcontract you to defeat Shadow Weaver and save the world by mending the legendary Staff of Summoning to summon someone else to subcontract the task to before Shadow Weaver can summon the god of magic to take over their role and remake the world in their image. At least in one outcome the world is saved...
This is a game I remember somewhat fondly from playing as a kid and never getting very far. After multiple playthroughs in the past I'd eventually finish the game legitimately (although this compilation is from using the cheat code "zebu" with the first NPC to skip straight to the end). Despite having plenty of issues like breakable weapons (at least until you get the silver sword or Warmonger), passive mana regen being garbage (so magic gets used more for puzzles or healing), making the game unwinnable by using items you need to progress (i.e. eating the mango, reading the sorcery skill up book, or breaking the magic mirror before getting past the gazers), the game not warning you magic amulets and boots disappear after being worn for X time, and a few other things this actually a pretty solid old school RPG. The game also doesn't do anything to stop sequence breaking with the Gateway spell if you looked up the spell combinations or wrote them down from a previous playthrough. Otherwise it is supposed to be a mid-game quest to learn all eight hand movements to enter the Otherworld and get the first piece of the staff, though it's also a good place to act as storage for junk.
Since on modern PCs the dialogue gets skipped pretty fast for the bad endings I added a segment that just shows the dialogue for both of them.
