As seen on the Happy Console Gamer Show! This video is all about one of the greatest Japanese role-playing game series that never had a chance to shine in the West--Hudson and Red Company's Tengai Makyou! Here I take a look at the three games that started it all on the PC Engine--Tengai Makyou ZIRIA, Tengai Makyou II MANJIMARU and Tengai Makyou Fuun Kabukiden--providing some background information, introductions and why they're so important to Hudson, the PC Engine and the history of RPGs.
Thank you to Johnny Millenium the Happy Console Gamer for asking me to do this segment for his video, which forced me to finally sit down and complete these wonderful JRPGs back-to-back-to-back. The collaboration video, which also features KidShoryuken, can be found here: https://youtu.be/2F20F4dx8k0
Gameplay was captured on real hardware using the Elgato Game Capture HD and video/audio was edited using Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite, Version 12...so a bunch of old crap.
Music used in this video all come from the games featured!
Thank you for watching!
