5The Terminator is a science fiction action film directed by James Cameron and released in 1984. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg assassin sent back in time to terminate Sarah Connor, a young woman who is destined to give birth to the future leader of the human resistance against a machine uprising. In the year 2029, humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a war with artificial intelligence called Skynet. In a last-ditch effort to save the future, the human resistance sends a soldier named Kyle Reese back in time to protect Sarah Connor, who is living in Los Angeles in 1984. As Reese and the Terminator engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse, Sarah must come to terms with the terrifying reality of her situation and learn to defend herself against a seemingly unstoppable enemy...
