The Terminator - Super Hard [Sega CD][CompleteTheGame]
This is probably THE best Terminator game released on consoles.
It looks great, it got clips from the movie between levels (by modern standards they look pretty ugly, but back then this was awesome), great music (and one of few games that actually used the the Terminator theme!), the control is great and the challenge is perfect. You will die multiple times the first time you play it, but the game sucks you in so you keep trying and suddenly you have completed the game.
The game starts back to the future where you try to survive against Terminators, you go back in time and fight a lot of punks (and a police helicopter), you keep saving Sarah Connor (Conner according to the back of the box) and then it ends in an industrial plant. The game got many sidetracks and most of them are filled with goodies like health pickups and weapon upgrades so keep exploring.
Even a great game got downsides and this got two.
The first one is the video clips used from the movie. I am not going to complain that they are ugly, but the audio during these clips are replaced by the Terminator theme. It just feels wrong. Luckily the PAL version kept the audio from the movie.
The second is the industrial plant levels at the end of the game. It got too many jumps that are so easy to mess up so you die. And I understand that they need enemies that you can kill, but it feels strange to see the place filled with turrents and industrial robots with machine guns and flame throwers hunting you.
Still a great game, go play it!
