Sherlock Holmes,
is a fictional character that was created in 1887 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He is a private detective known for his great observation and deduction skills.
Sherlock Holmes appears in 4 novels and 56 short stories, considered as the "canon". The character rapidly became extremely popular, to such an extent that there are museums entirely dedicated to the detective, a first for a fiction character!
During the last century, many authors have shaped their own vision of the famous detective in books, as well as in movies and television shows.
