[The Touhou Empires] Online PvE 3v3H and Language Mod test
I didn't expect the match to go that badly. Seija is OP late game.
My potato PC experiences some frame drops here and there but I am unable to get a better graphic card for the time being. Still, for the most part, it runs smooth enough in 1280x960 resolution and medium graphic, which, to me, is passable. On high-end devices, though, it runs well and the graphic is awesome.
Anyway, real stuffs here. This is actually the game I have been planning to work on in the future, and finally the chance arrives during the RTS Festival on Steam, when the game demo will be released for the duration of it.
During the demo test last year, I have seen someone tinkering with language patching and I was planning to do the same. It should have worked but because the testing phase ended, I couldn't put it into test. Now, the demo is up again and after a day of figuring what had been changed, I managed to get it work with all the new additions.
So, what is The Touhou Empires? An RTS made by Neetpia, the developer of the more well-known Tower Defence game "Gensokyo Defenders". The Touhou Empires (TTE for short) is a fully reworked The Touhou Empire (also known as Age of Ethanols 3 during the demo phase) back in 2015. The new TTE should feature a redesigned and improved campaign along with reconceptualised factions to diverse the mechanic and gameplay, making each faction radically different from each other despite sharing the same tech tree. So far, the demo has 2 factions: Hakurei Shrine and Shining Needle Castle. The former being a Jill-of-all-trade with some good economy backing them up while the latter focusing on drowning the game with cheap units. In a sense, they are somewhat antithesis of each other, with one focuses on quality while the other, quantity.
So, introducing the players here:
Noobnot: the host, the Blue Hakurei player. Managed to hold the line long enough for the other players to turn the tide. Experienced in RTS games.
Void: the Red Hakurei player. Somewhat new to the game and enjoying base building a tad bit too much (which is nice because that's something you will never see in more seasoned players). Held their own line and joined the offensive at the end. One suggestion, try integrating lancers, archers and grimoires into army when getting to later ages.
Akari no Kokoro: Me. Desperately tried to wreck someone at first but in the end I gave up and Seija Lunatic spammed the hell out.
At the end of the day, the game is still new. Players are experimenting with everything so errors and failures are to expected. Here in the match we have made a lot of mistakes and, by sheer tenacity and a lot of luck, we managed to win.
