Stalingrad, October 1942 the highest mark of the German campaign in the east was just 1 month away from the extremely successful Soviet counter-offensive, Operation Uranus.
At this moment, elite German troops are still trying to conquer the city that bears the name of the supreme Soviet leader, and for that, a battalion of combat engineers, specialists in the use of assault weapons such as flamethrowers and detonation charges, are summoned.
Against these elite units is opposed a multitude of Soviet troops willing to do anything to defend every inch of terrain.
And it is in this scenario that we will develop this desperate battle.
This episode is a replay of one of the most classic Advanced Squad Leader scenarios, The Tractor Works, where elite, first-class German forces are locked in an intense fight against first-class, fanatical Soviet units for possession of the strategic Dzerhezinsky Tractor Works, in early October 1942, in Stalingrad.
We have previously made a sequence of clips based on this scenario, which due to its characteristics of the number of units involved, the use of flamethrowers and demolition charges make the battles in this scenario extremely exciting and bloody, allowing for immense replayability.
