This video analyzes the cinematic that precedes Morgott's (or Margit's) boss fight at the base of the Erdtree in Leyndell. I focus on a small detail that you probably missed: when you enter the throne room where Morgott is waiting for you, he isn't sitting in his throne or even in the throne room strictly speaking. Instead, he's standing at the top of the stairs. But did you ever ask yourself *why* he’s standing there? That's a weird place to stand, because it's the location of the gates of the Erdtree, which conceals Marika and Radagon and the Elden Ring on the other side -- and those gates have been closed for hundreds or even thousands of years!
