In this volume, the Decepticon all star squad continue the hunt for the Zel Quartz. Which leads them to the Karzite Mine located in the middle of a treacherous desert. The mine being defended by the fast talking Blurr, the tank Hardhead and the towering Computron. After the search yields no results the Decepticons attack the Astlan Gem Mine which is defended by the veteran Cup and the valiant Arcee. After Cyclonus is punished for misinformation, the Decepticons decide to launch a final attack on the autobots at an Enormous Laser Transmisson Array, which leads to clashes with Ultra Magnus, Blurr, Skylynx and the colossal Raiden!
