In this volume, the Autobots continue their search for the Zel Quartz in the Astlan Gem Mine, which leads to a brawl with Cyclonus and Scourge. After Ultra Magnus joins the battle, the Autobots prepare for a final battle against the Decepticons at the planet Zels Enormous Laser Transmisson Array. Which leads to a battle against Scourge, Cyclonus and the titanic Terrorcon Abominus! In a climatic final battle Arcee, Rodimus and Optimus Prime team up against the team of Soundwave, Full Tilt and Soundblaster. Before moving onto the Decepticon leaders, Galvatron and Megatron in a battle with the fate of the Planet Zel hanging in the balance.
