The Type-10 Defender in Elite Dangerous is Lakon's initial response to the Thargoid threat, long before the current invasion of the bubble started. It's their largest offering, based off the trade powerhouse that is the Type-9 Heavy.

It was initially slated by the AX community as a waste of time, and a meme ship more than anything else, but since it was released, a number of developments have occurred in the galaxy - but are these developments enough to make the Type-10 into the AX slaying beast that it was always meant to be?

Is it worth the credits? Is it worth the materials to engineer? Or will it just end up costing more money than it brings in? Let's have a look.
