In this video I take a look at the history behind the rise of NEC and the eventual partnership with Hudson Soft that led to the production of the PC Engine in Japan. The PC Engine was the Japanese predecessor to the Turbo Grafx 16 and was a huge hit in Japan, even outselling Sega and Nintendo. How did this system come into being? Let's find out!
