The unexpected Red Bull threat for F1 2024
5,994“We’re coming for Red Bull”. That was McLaren driver Lando Norris’s promise after finishing second to Max Verstappen in the Japanese Grand Prix.
He’s realistic enough to know Red Bull is uncatchable in F1 this year, but he’s talking about the big picture. And that means potentially taking the fight to Red Bull in 2024.
That might sound ridiculously optimistic for a McLaren team that hasn’t won a championship since 2008 and has just one victory in the last decade, but its recent form has been phenomenal.
