Akim Swedru Senior High School is a public high school located in Akim Swedru, a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa..
Akim Swedru Senior High School WAS 1ST Established in YEAR 1946 as a Teacher training college, the college was later converted into a Secondary School in October 1970 . Students and Old Students of the School are referred to as ANUANOM .[1] .
Akisss is one of the few schools in Ghana that had benefited from the Japan Overseas cooperation volunteers program
Akim Swedru Senior High School offers a range of academic programs across different subjects. The programs offered include:
• Agric science
• Business
• General arts
• General science
• Home economics and
• Visual arts subjects. , It has a boarding facility and accommodates both male and female students.
Akim Swedru Senior High School has a rich history of academic excellence and has produced several notable personalities in Ghana and beyond known as Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem, Controller and Accountant General Ghana [3]

When the new headmaster was posted in akisss, he saw that there is a lot of things he need to do in the sch in ORDER to change the school and improves its performance.
So he then Focus on the teachers development: because he knew that Teachers are the most important factor in student success, so it is important to provide them with the support and resources they need to improve their effectiveness in the classroom.
He also Engage parents and the community: because he knew that Schools cannot improve without the support of parents and the community. So it would be important for him to build strong relationships with parents and community members and involve them in the school improvement process.
MR. AFFRY THEN Monited the progress and adjust strategies as needed in the school: so he then help building a new b ball courts for the school by the help with his management and the stuff.
THE 50TH ANNIVERSERY CELEBRATION
Akim Swedru Senior High School celebrated its 50th anniversary just on the year 2022.
But before the anniversary, launching of the 50th anniversary was taking placed. A well good arrangement was made for the students to do candle light by walking around the town of which the school was located.
They further continua the 50th Anniversary Launching on the next day.
And after launching, the school had a good news that the selected students that was chosen to represent the National Robotic Competition has won the SHS Robot Design, held in UPSA-ACCRA Among the 29 schools that took part, of the competition. Including
1) Adisadel College - Cape Coast
2) St. Augustine College - Cape Coast
3) Presech - Accra Legon
4) Wesley Girls - Kumasi
5) Aburi Girls - Aburi etc
IN FACT, The 50th Anniversary celebration was marked with a series of events and activities, including

Upon all the activites the schools has been doing, they are able to performed well in acdamics by moing from categlory c to be in the turn of mr. afary the new head master of the schools.
New school uniform is been made for the year 3 group.
Not to forget, Activities are still going ON IN THE SCHOOL.
