Vivian is on a quest. A book has made her father go mad and she must figure out why. The journey doesn't seem to be going well as a storm shipwrecks her, thankfully on the shores of her destination. Now she must stumble from one misfortune to another in the hopes of finding the answers she seeks.
This video goes up to the second official boss and a little bit beyond. I know there is a third boss present, but I was going to long with the video (as well as having trouble traversing that pesky spot). While combat is pretty simple in terms of staggering, dodging and overall combos (unlock more in the progression chart), it is functional. Artwork looks alright in terms of backgrounds and characters, but I do notice white lines peaking out every now and then. Attack animations also feel responsive which is critical for a game like this.
Only real issues are with the lack of music in a lot of spots, translation/spelling errors, and the jumping. Currently the game has three chapters with the third currently at 70%. I am not sure where I am at now, but I tend to finish the current content in another video. It has flaws, but it plays well enough. Ill have a verdict in the next video, which should be done by tonight.
