The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is trying to stop The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment (Made) from being able to recreate the server side elements of classic games. This will mean that many games with an online element will become little more than footnotes in gaming history, with gamers, historians and other interested parties unable to experience these games for themselves. It shows a short sightedness on the behalf of the gaming industry that is staggering, and tells us a great deal about their priorities.

But maybe I'm missing something.
