Semele: Look at me... Ricky. What did Shelly say to you about Ken?
Ricky: Sem, I honestly don't know what you're talking about.
Ricky tried to walk away, but Semele jumped in front of him.
Semele: Someone is talking trash about him, and I need to know who.
Ricky sighed.
Ricky: Haven't you and your stupid friends caused me enough trouble? Just leave me alone, Sem... I don't want to talk to you right now.
Semele: But Shelly says that Ken-
Ricky: I'm not going to talk shit about my best friend! If she said something, good for her... It's none of my business.
Semele: If you know something about MY BOYFRIEND, it is my business!
Ricky: Look, Sem... I like you, I really do. I considered you my friend, but trouble seems to follow y'all... Not to mention, your stupid friends got me arrested... TWICE! I think we need to keep our distance. I don't want anything to do with any of you.
Why don't you ask Grant? They are dating, you know.
Semele bit her bottom lip.
Semele: I already did. He didn't know anything. He said he'll ask her about it, but it's been days since then, and he keeps "forgetting". I need answers.
Ricky pushed his way past Semele and continued down the street toward his apartment. Semele called after him.
Semele: Ricky, I talked to her today. It's been a long time.
Ricky stopped walking.
Ricky: Her?
Semele: HER.
Ricky: Why?
Semele: It's nothing about that. I bumped into her at the store, but that got me thinking... How's Justin?
Ricky: He's fine. He works for Curtis now too. He told me that Curtis is hiring again... I might apply this time. I'm undecided.
Semele nodded, standing in place.
Ricky: Goodbye, Sem.
Semele: Goodbye, Ricky.
