The Weapons of Solaris Offworld Combat | PS VR
Hello Athlon, welcome back to SOWC 101, in this series of training videos we’ll be going over the basics of Solaris Off World Combat. In today’s video, we’ll be taking a look at all of the weapons you’ll be using while battling in the Solaris. Now, let's log in and get started.
First up in our arsenal, is the SENTINEL Disruptor Pistol. Your tried and true companion, this may be your default weapon, but it is far from stock. When paired with a quick trigger finger and steady aim, this baby can stand up to pretty much anything, just make sure you grab some armor and you’ll come out on top of every shootout.
Next up, and a team favorite, is the JAVELIN Arc Rifle. If you’re an automatic weapon kind of player, then this baby is for you. Hold down the trigger, and the Arc Rifle will go into full auto mode, melting pretty much anything in your path, just be warned that ammo can go fast. I personally like to pop off a few single shots before I completely unload, but really most of the time I’m too busy getting ejected by it.
Now it’s time for the TRIDENT Rocket Launcher. This is the perfect weapon to quickly clear out a point, and turn the tide when all hope is lost. As the name implies, this is our rocket launcher, it comes equipped with three rounds, and can wipe an entire squad with one blast. Although it’s extremely deadly, it takes precise aim and timing to hit your target. I’ve actually had people slide under my rockets just to give me a face full of weapon fire.
Next up, we have the MONARCH Assault Shotgun, which is slowly becoming my personal favorite. Down and out with no hope left, this weapon will become your best friend. At close range you can take out an entire squad with just a few pumps, and it even packs a solid punch at medium encounters. Just make sure to use those eight rounds wisely.
Finally, let’s take a look at the TITAN Grenade Launcher, or as I like to call it, grauncher. Easy to pick up but tough to master, this bad boy has quickly become my favorite weapon. You can adjust the trajectory by holding the trigger, which goes from a light lob to cannon fire, not to mention you can bounce them off of pretty much anything, which leads to some awesome ejections. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention my favorite part, you can actually control the time of explosion by clicking the X button after launching a projectile.Once you get the hang of that one, you may never go back.
Now that is your launch arsenal, used for entering the ranks and fighting for that top spot on the leaderboard. Please let us know if you have any questions, thanks for watching, and we look forward to seeing you in game!
