Motopolo – when two great sports collide

Put simply, Motopolo is the game of football on motorbikes. The main difference between it another variation, Motoball, is that in Motopolo there is no goalie or marked penalty area.

Each team has four riders who accelerate up and down the pitch at speed. Manoeuvrability is key as are quick reflexes and nerves of steel as riders’ race towards their opponents. Contact is restricted but an inevitable part of this sport although excessive force is outlawed by a referee who is on the pitch. Games are played in two 10 minute halves; enabling teams to swap ends.
