In this chapter, Geralt is led by the so-called "King Ziggy" to participate in some underground fist fighting - upsetting Commander Laredo by not willing to participate in his con schemes. He then pays the Commander a proper visit and agrees to spy on the Scoia'tael leader Iorveth for him, but not before sneakily sabotaging Loredo's ballista and stealing a part of his Kayran trap. As the next day arrives, Geralt investigates the forests of Flotsam, killing occasional Endregas, promising to cure the local bridge-repairing Troll from alcoholism, and finally reaching the Kayran lair with Triss, where he finds a mysterious report from a sunken ship and learns a surprising secret about the huge monster. All in all, quite a bit of work for one episode.
