I thought there was something up with these pillars, and I was right. They are actually a bunch of puzzles. For the first time, we actually get to move around while solving a puzzle. But this is a bit of a problem due to the fact that the puzzles are circular all the way around. While things aren't too bad at first, it quickly escalates. There are a couple of them that leave me really stumped. The logical thing to do would be to draw them out on paper and solve it that way, but I feel like it would defeat the purpose. So we just tough it out. One of them almost felt like it was brute forced, but we got it anyway.
This takes us on a magic elevator ride, all the way to the start of the game. Thankfully, we can load the previous save, because I really don't like going through it all again. When we reload, we start heading back up the mountain where we discover that there are actually some environmental puzzles right above our head. I had a feeling they were, and I thought that I had tried it, but apparently not. So now it is time to try to solve these.
