The World Champion of DOA6 got DESTROYED by Honoka [RANT] | Top Player Losses #1
You wanna tell me I put effort into creating a new game because I'm bad at it? You wanna tell me I'm weak? You wanna tell me I have poor fundamentals? You wanna tell me I get lucky when I beat top players? You wanna tell me I would have fun if I "learn" the game? You wanna tell me I should quit being competitive and play casually against players on "my level"?
Since you want to spout malicious accusations and ridiculous criticisms at me, I will make an example out of all the players you people respect. I will show you that your bigoted dismissal of my complaints is moronic and that the best of the best who play this game (though they wouldn't admit it because most humans are close-minded and hardheaded) also fall victim to these crudely designed game mechanics that I cannot stand--not because I don't know how to beat them, but because they're simply... ANNOYING!
A great deal of mental effort is required to win in this game against someone who knows how to play well. I don't want victory stolen from me because my opponent pulled a broken move out of their back pocket during a critical moment. I want my OPPONENT to beat me, not the game. That's why I nerf everyone in my mod. Legitimate wins and losses are what I want to see.
This is a list of every excuse people give me when I ask them to fight me in the mod (that I can remember) and my carefully articulated responses to them:
-"I don't want to get in the middle of the drama between you and so-and-so."
Response: Then I won't put your name in the videos... Easy. But also, who cares? You don't want to be looked down on by the fanbase for playing with me in a game? Silly. I'll hold my tongue and refrain from saying more than that.
-"I don't play Eliot"
Re: Fair enough. So when I spend another $60-$80 to mod YOUR character, THEN you will play, RIGHT!?
-"I'd rather stick with the game everyone else plays"
Re: Dumb reason. You're just a selfish person. I'm bored, I want to have fun TOO. PLAY WITH ME IN THE MOD THAT TAKES LESS THAN 2 MINUTES TO SET UP!
-"I'm new at the game and want to learn the original first."
Re: My mod doesn't drastically change the system. If you get good at my mod, your newly developed skills will carry over to the original version of DOA6. I don't want to fight noobs anyway, but still. It's annoying to be told "no" again and again and again.
-"Not right now, I'm busy/getting off soon."
Re: This is why I need more than one person to fight. I hate being required to rely on other people to have fun. The concept of community and symbiotic relationships is RETARDED when the world is imperfect. It was perfect in the beginning, but that is no longer the case.
-"There's one change I disagree with. Do 'this' instead."
Re: I pay money for each and every mod. Let me ENJOY what I've accomplished, then I will be encouraged to do more. I'm not going to keep throwing away money for ungrateful, selfish people to tell me "no" CONSTANTLY. I could instead be ordering fast food for instant gratification.
-"I want to play the version they use at tournaments."
Re: I offer stubborn people $10 if they beat me in a first to 10. You don't need tournaments and you will not lose your DOA6 skills. Just readapt to the game. And... it's just a game, not a profession! There's no reason to take it that seriously as if you're some kind of fighting game monk. I go back and forth between vanilla and ++ with little need to readjust.
OH, and don't forget, people simultaneously play DOA5 and DOA6 on consoles. Again, you're just selfish and lazy. That is the real reason.
-"Seems sketchy (virus?)."
Re: No, it's fine. You don't have to take my word for it. Others that have downloaded it can vouch that it is trustworthy. I'll put you in a group chat with them. I'm sure if it was the popular DOA6++ mod everyone plays that you wouldn't hesitate to hop on it.
I have other games, I like other games. But they're either unbalanced like DOA6, do not keep my interest for longer than 30 minutes because they aren't fighting games, or they have no online multiplayer.
There are only four steps to install my mod. 1. Download the zip file. 2. Extract it. 3. Copy the three items. 4. Paste them into the Dead or Alive 6 folder. IT'S THAT EASY! Goodness gracious!
