(It was the Houston Gamblers vs the Tampa Bay Bandits about 1 hour into the game where John Reaves throws a pass to Joel Blunk against the Houston Gamblers.)


This is important because this SpongeBob episode came out in 2001. The game took place in 1985 making it 16 years old at the time.

While it is possible SpongeBob could have been watching a Re-Run, SpongeBob performed for another USFL Game in the Band Geeks Episode between the 1985 Tampa Bay Bandits vs the Memphis Showboats game. And that happened in real time.

The Problem here is that according to his Driver’s Licenses, SpongeBob was born in 1986.
