These EPIC Games Are Way UNDERRATED! Hidden Gems You Need To Play!
There are games that I absolutely love, like cherish, and feel that everyone should be playing. There are what I consider to be common classics for the NES, SNES, Genesis and others like Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Street Fighter, but there are also games that I don't understand why more people aren't talking about. These are games I consider to be epic and extremely underrated and games that every should at least play, and probably own.
Number 3
Mario Bros
It is weird to think of a Mario Brothers game as underrated or Hidden Gem but most people, when you say Mario Brothers, thanks Super Mario Brothers. The original Mario Brothers game for the NES was based off of the arcade release, much like Popeye. It's a single screen two-player game that is just such classic Retro Gaming goodness. It features a great challenge level, good music, fun enemies, and in the arcade this was a quarter muncher. But it seems like nobody talks about this game now, only the Super Mario series of games. And that's a shame because this is a terrific game.
Number 2
Bubsy
Oh, I am ready to hear the comments on this one. I know there are a lot of people that hate Bubsy the Bobcat but I absolutely have loved Bubsy since the first time I played it back in high school. Even the back of the Sega Genesis cartridge box has comedic value to it. For example, it says " when you're a bankable star like me they don't skip on megs, no siree Bobcat.. 16 Megs! 16 Mondo Megs of marvelous me pouncing out of this cart". For me those are fantastic puns and plays on Words, and the game itself is great too. It has wonderful graphics and sound, the play control is extremely tight, and overall this is a really good 16-bit platforming game.
Number 1
Joe & Mac: Cavemen Ninja (NES Version)
I get part of the reason Joe and Mac for the NES does not get brought up as much, it was already released on the Super Nintendo before the NES version and that's what most people played. If you have never played the NES version of Joe and Mac then you are doing yourself a disservice as this is one of the best action Platformers on the system. It looks better than a Nintendo game really has any right to, takes the heart and the quality of gameplay from the Super Nintendo version, and brings it to a very good rendition on the NES. This is definitely a fantastic game and one I don't understand why more people don't talk about.
What are games that you love that nobody talks about? What are games that you feel are extremely underrated that more people need to check out? What do you think of these pics? Let me know in the comments section.
