I've reacted to a lot of different types of Westerners who idolize Russia, Stalin and Putin over the years: for example, Western conservatives who think that Russia is the most free and conservative country in the world, who also claim that any Russian not supporting the government is a traitor. Some of these westerners even move to Russia in search of "freedom". As a Russian myself, I've always found it baffling. However, today we are going to react to a very special community: online Western communists, also known as "tankies", who love to idolize Stalin, Mao and who also are usually very Z and support Russia's actions in Ukraine. Naturally, these people don't like me very much: they also love to call me a traitor and a Western shill. What are these people all about and why do these Westerners who have never even set foot in Russia love telling Russians how they should feel and act? Let's talk about it.
