TheSupportOne revisits & tries RE Outbreak: File #2, in honor of Alyssa Ashcroft. (21 Years Later)
In anticipation of upcoming Resident Evil entry, let's pay an honest revisit to an unforgettable scenario where a female reporter, Alyssa learnt of the retrospective tragedy which had been happened in Arklay Hospital five years ago as she attempts to make her way towards exit from the entrapment within now-abandoned Arklay Hospital.
Like Resident Evil Outbreak 1, it's my first Resident Evil installment introduced me to its series when I was small (even though couldn't get a chance to play in the initial). Pretty much hidden gem I always resonated.
Since PAX West 2025 Panel where Capcom presumably confirmed Alyssa's appearance for the upcoming Resident Evil entry in terms of her relevant background, I had finally redeemed another opportunity to play this game on my hand, in tribute to Ashcroft legacy. I am grateful for my first Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Outbreak being not left abandoned and forgotten as ever distinguished. Conveying my honesty gratitude to Capcom 3000!
Also, Happy Anniversary Resident Evil Outbreak File 2!!!
Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 is a 2004 multiplayer online survival horror game, an expansion and sequel installment to RE Outbreak 1, released for exclusively PS2 by Capcom. Like its prequel, this game serves as spin-off and midquel to Resident Evil 2 and 3. The beginning of Outbreak is set a couple days after the initial outbreak of the T-virus in Raccoon City, moments before the crisis further escalates into complete chaos. This game sets in the middle of same incident where survivors confront the fear amongst living dead and cruelty infestations. The game ends in the final moments of the same incident, with the player attempting to escape Raccoon City before the U.S. government launches a missile strike to eliminate the threat posed by the G-virus. The player controls one of eight characters with gameplay events transpiring across various regions of Raccoon City and span over a period of several days. It was set during the same general time period as Resident Evil 2 and 3.
Notice: Like its predecessor of a series, I will not resume Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 into next further scenarios (till finale) to pay a revisit due to lack of my enthusiastically experience to give a shot. My apology for that and of course, my least unprepared commentary voice with lack of comprehensive (due to autism). Best putting headphone to hear my voicing commentary as recommended, as well as be cautious on any of my loud voices.
