M&M Video Games (Tampa) — Post- MetroCon Video Game Hunt!
When MegaCon wrapped, we didn’t stop chasing — we headed straight to M&M Video Games in Tampa, FL to hunt for more treasure. It’s not just any shop; M&M is a beloved Tampa Bay staple known for its massive collection of retro and modern games, consoles, trading cards, rare collectibles, and friendly “buy-sell-trade” vibes for over 14 years. Whether you’re flipping through NES titles or scouting PS5 deals, this place covers it all.

Located at 1548 E Fowler Ave, just a short drive from USF, M&M Tampa is packed with gaming nostalgia and surprise finds around every corner.
Here’s what we scored:
Rad Chaser’s Pickups:
• Zoda’s Revenge (NES) — The cult Final Fantasy II hack that flips the script (and the rules) of the FF universe. Wild, weird, and wildly fun.
• Super Pitfall (NES) — That awkward platformer that’s just weird enough to be memorable.
• Xenophobe (NES) — Classic arcade-to-home shooter, letting us trace alien pulses through co-op mayhem.
Son of Rad Chaser’s Picks:
• Resident Evil Origins Collection (Switch) — Tightly ported remasters that bring classic horror hunting to handhelds.
• Dragon Quest Heroes (PS4) — The Dynasty Warriors–meets–Dragon Quest mashup we never knew we wanted… until now.
• Bionic Commando (PS3) — A personal haul moment. He found it, but I had secretly nabbed a copy before… and spilled the beans. The surprise got ruined, but the gaming heart is still in it.

This trip summed up exactly why we chase — real shops, real finds, and those shared “heck yeah” moments. Whether it’s an NES oddball or a collector’s switch port, there’s always a story in every cartridge.
If you’re in Tampa, drop by M&M — it’s worth the hunt.
