thinkingParticles Drop 6 - FlowSolver, Initial State Operators: 'Strawberry Milk Splash Crown'
Done with new TP 6.6 FlowSolver and used All Purpose Field for collisions. Total particles around 1 million. See Jignesh's tutorial for creating this @ https://youtu.be/-PxQWYSACJg?list=PLr2jKyAz7btv4qFAt3wqRROQqlSLUNjAS
For this shot, Jignesh Jariwala created a 3dsmax cylinder-shaped container half the height of the strawberry, he then spawned particles using tP's Volume Position Raster option into the cylinder object - Assigned FlowGroup.
Jignesh let the sim play for a few frames and once the particles had settled, he saved that state with Drop 6 new feature: Initial State
( see also cebas into video on Initial State: https://youtu.be/fjQfEG8RDhw )
Jignesh used the Initial state operator : turned 'OFF' initial state operator to turn off particles in viewport and turned on strawberry Obj2particle operator and assigned APField Boundary to Strawberry object and adjusted its interior and exterior margin. Set APField output to "Avoid Inside" and then turned 'ON" Initial state again and ran the simulation again and that was it! Jignesh got a nice splash in fluid ! Quick and easy.
After cache, he found that it reduced the time by 50% using TimeBase operator and reCached MasterDynamics for rendering.
