You are now viewing Subscription newest drop 6 feature on thinkingParticles called InitialState Operator.
PURPOSE OF FEATURE
- InitialState operator helps users to pinpoint the starting frame of a sim they want to followup on;
-it is particularly helpful in animations with many particles that has to settle quickly into a baked particle state;
-therefore the artist do not need to do too much tweaking in terms of making the many particle instanced and in motion, settle realistically and baked.
SIMULATION
0:32 -- Scene Setup
PositionBorn - Helper VolumenPosition - Helper Node / InitialState;
Dynamic setup: fluid : gravity + force/ FlowGroup / FlowBoundary / Cloud (Source:..). Simulation shows the fluids collapses and bounces. With InitialState activated, you start right away with fluid sim within the container.
Try clicking 'Save State' under the InitialState menu window. Saves as *.tpc file.
1:38 -- see the simulation settles right away from frame '0' with stable fluids (avoid pre-rolls).
1:56 New Scene - 'falling screws into bowl'
Dynamic setup: Create ; add InitialState; Source: 'SCREWS"
wire the InitialState-InSaveMode to the PositionBorn-'On' .
Click 'Save State'; Off 'Save Mode' (since no more sims in the making)
With 'Save State' : all your particle positions, speed/velocity..etc data are saved. You can now use this as your starting point.
