Welcome back to another video! Paladins is a highly customizable game, allowing you to make builds and buy items to tweak your characters to your heart's content. This is great, but what Paladins doesn't do a good job of all the time is explaining the mechanics surrounding different aspects of the game. One such mechanic is diminishing returns, which causes multiple instances of an effect to diminish past the largest value. This is responsible for keeping many otherwise overpowered builds in check, and helps to keep things somewhat fair in regards to champion customization!

An explanation for this mechanic is completely absent from Paladins itself, and the only way to even hear about it or understand it is by looking up a guide for it or using the wiki. And seeing as the only guide on YouTube I could find was my own guide from a few years ago, I figured that it's time to make a brand new guide going over exactly how diminishing returns works!

All equations in this tutorial video were sourced from the Paladins Gamepedia. This video provides useful examples to illustrate how these equations work, and explain diminishing returns in an easy to understand manner for beginners and veterans alike.
