Today I'll share some gameplay of the M3 Bradley and provide a brief written overview.
Let's start with the advantages:
- It features an automatic cannon with armor-piercing rounds.
- It carries 12 ATGMs, and you can launch two at once.
- It has thermal optics.
- As a light tank, it has a drone for reconnaissance.
- Surprisingly, it can withstand hits much better than other light tanks.
- All of this at a battle rating of 8.3.
But here are the nuances:
- The automatic cannon has a very low rate of fire, and the damage is insufficient. Additionally, there's a high-explosive round every three armor-piercing rounds in the belt.
- The ATGMs lack damage, often requiring two missiles to take down a single target.
- The quality of the thermal optics is poor.
- It has a high silhouette, making it difficult to find cover.
- Despite being a light tank, it lacks mobility compared to many regular tanks.
It might seem that despite having many capabilities, the tank doesn't have strongly defined strengths. However, it's not entirely true. Unlike most vehicles, which excel in a specific role (close-quarters combat, flanking, sniping, or support), the Bradley can adapt to fill the role your team currently lacks. Despite the complexity of utilizing its potential, the tank is very interesting and adaptive. Whether you need to take down helicopters or aircraft, scout the area or shift the front line, or outmaneuver the enemy and strike their rear when you lack allies on light vehicles, the Bradley can fulfill these roles. Having ATGMs and thermal optics allows for some sniping action as well. Even in close combat, we can survive a hit from an MBT and retaliate with two ATGMs (although some luck is required).
What's most enjoyable about this tank is its capability to be used in line-up with best CAS in the game (A-4E Early). The presence of reconnaissance tools and an autocannon makes it easy to earn the necessary points for best plane weapons and turn the tide of the game.
While our individual capabilities might be below average, the variety of them makes us versatile fighters. With sufficient skill, we can handle any situation on the battlefield.
