0You can actually use your phone without the battery, but with the charging cable in. Work on anything... I think. Does no harm, to device at all. The charger input is actually separate from the battery, while charging it. So Far my test have successfully completed that would be, iPad, iPhone, Android, GoPro, Cannon Camera's, and that's it.
