567This might be one of the most INTENSE VR games I've ever played, it also has some of the best VR graphics, is soaked in atmosphere and might be the closest thing to DEAD SPACE VR that we're ever going to get... this is the Callisto Protocol VR mod, achieved with UEVR this lets you experience the entire game in first person with 6DOF ranged weapons and some of the nastiest, goriest visuals I've ever seen inside a VR headset! Now it might not actually be Dead Space VR, a VR Dead Space game would undoubtedly be much better than this as Dead Space is more suited to first person VR combat (it's practically all ranged combat whereas Callisto Protocol is melee focused) but for huge fans who would love to see what that franchise might feel like in first person VR this is the best we have right now. Callisto Protocol VR won't be for everyone, those with weak VR legs (or weak stomachs in general) might struggle with the games combat as it relies so heavily of scripted animations to move the character around, meaning you're often jerked from side to side during the more intense sections of the game. However the stunning environments, terrifying mutants and outrageous gore all look SO GOOD in VR, that I would urge you to try it just to walk around and take in the sights. Make sure you use the Native Stereo rendering method in UEVR if you try this one yourself because it improved performance for me DRASTICALLY when compared to the last time I played this...
This Callisto Protocol VR Gameplay / Callisto Protocol VR Mod (UEVR) was captured on a 4090 VR ready PC running in VR thanks to the UEVR mod on a Quest 3 with a wired connection. To get Callisto Protocol VR working like this you'll need to download the UEVR mod and then play with your own graphics settings to achieve the best VR results for your system, for reference I have a pretty high end PC and I was running almost everything here on high or medium with the Native Stereo rendering option in the Unreal Engine VR mod.
