I got thinking about why Dice haven't spoken about certain features or even asked about them during the feedback loop, despite the huge number of people making requests for those particular features. I watched lossy's recent video which you can find if you follow this link - https://youtu.be/DPrc1kjt2E4
...and it got me thinking once again about the lack of a server browser in all out warfare. Of course there is one in Portal but why not just move that browser over to the main all out warfare mode and allow players to see which servers are running and select the one they want. It would allow people to join on each more easily and give players more choice of what game to join. It just makes sense and every BF game until this point has had one. So if it makes sense to us and Dice know that it's something everyone wants, and they are clearly easily able to add one, why having they.
So in this video I put forward my number one theory why they havent added it yet. Okay, so its a bit of a bold statement and now I have finished and reflected on what I have said here, I would probably add a few more reasons to this - I do think that they want to be able to deal with matchmaking players into matches that they wont always get beaten in...so some sort of skill based matchmaking. That isn't going to be easy if a bunch of people can join whichever server they want at any time. But I will see where the discussion goes on this one.
What do you think?
