Part 18 of my nuzlocke playthrough of Pokemon Fire Red as I return to mainland Kanto, challenge the final gym leader in what is still one of my favourite twists in a game and then fighting my Rival as we begin the run up to the Pokemon League

This is a replay of Pokemon Fire Red, my original playthrough that I did in 2021 can be found here
   • Pokemon Fire Red (Nuzlocke)  

Level caps will be 1 below the next gym leader's ace.
Normal hardcore nuzlocke rules apply. TMs, move tutors, in game trades and static Pokemon are randomised. Other than that it's just a regular non randomised nuzlocke.

When a Pokemon that is exclusive to one version of the game is caught I'll flip a coin. If it lands heads I keep the exclusive from Fire Red, if it lands tails this will flip to the exclusive from Leaf Green.
This will apply to the following Pokemon and their counterparts

Ekans - Sandshrew
Oddish - Bellsprout
Psyduck - Slowpoke
Shellder - Staryu
Growlithe - Vulpix
Scyther - Pinsir
Electabuzz - Magmar
