How To Fix “Can't Copy Files to NTFS Drive” Error:
Option 1: Use a Different Format (exFAT or FAT32)
If the external drive doesn’t need NTFS-specific features like file permissions or encryption, you can reformat it to exFAT or FAT32, which are more compatible across platforms.
Warning: Reformatting will erase all data on the drive. Be sure to back up any important files first.
For Windows, connect the external drive and open "File Explorer". Right-click the drive and select "Format". Under File System, choose exFAT (recommended), then click "Start".
For macOS, open "Disk Utility" and select the drive from the left panel. Click "Erase" and choose "exFAT" as the format. Click "Erase" to confirm.
