198Thoughts about new Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Iron Man. This action figure is part of the tribute to Toy Biz Marvel Legends Series 1 that began with Captain America with the holes in his shield. This Iron Man is a rerelease and repaint of the same Iron Man figure Hasbro has released many times, such as the Shang-Chi Mr. Hyde wave and the Ursa Major wave. The difference is a couple of new heads; one is 70s Tony Stark unmasked, the other is Proto Classic Iron Man, aka horned Iron Man, as a reference to the Gold Iron Man variant originally released by Toy Biz. The Proto Classic Iron Man head doesn't match the armor as it was originally designed by Steve Ditko in Tales of Suspense 48, the first appearance of the red and gold armor. The background is again cheesy and cheap cardboard unlike the original plastic Stark satellite base, and the effects aren't accurate to the era of the comics this figure is supposed to be based on, though which era is a mystery given the stew pot of Iron Man this represents.
