101Justice League Darkseid DC Multiverse McFarlane. This action figure is based on Zach Snyder’s Justice League. The likeness is dead-on accurate, appearing as though the character really stepped off the screen. There’s a staggering amount of detail on the sculpt, like the rough texture of his corpse-like skin and each fold and notch on his skirt. His articulation is good overall, with extremely impressive range in his torso at the chest and waist, though he lacks the double-jointed knees, elbows, and omni-directional wrists of smaller figures in the line. Despite this he still moves around well, and he still has omni-directional joints on his ankles. I had a lot of trouble getting them moving, one was stuck with his toe pointed forward and the other wouldn’t swivel. Eventually I had to pry his feet off and use pliers to adjust the joints after filming this. So, instead I took the liberty of putting him in some fancy poses. Needless to say, the craftsmanship was lacking at the ankles. Accessories include a somewhat floppy staff that looks cool but takes some doing to get it in his hand, but it looks great after. On a scale of S to F, I rate him a B; this is a perfect Darkseid figure, but the ankles gave me so much trouble I thought I might break them.
