240Thoughts about Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Captain America reveal. Supposedly based on the original Marvel Legends Captain America released in series one from Toy Biz back in 2002, this figure is largely a repaint of the 80th anniversary Captain America with brighter blue and red colors, but includes new head sculpts and his legs and one set of hands are taken from Red Onslaught wave Capwolf Captain America. Accessories include an unmasked Steve Rogers head, clip on ricochet effects, energy effects, two extra pairs of hands, and a base with a cardboard backing. The real tragedy here is he only comes with one shield, and that shield has three large holes in it to accommodate the included effects. For the price, a separate shield with no holes really needs to be included. Besides that, the base is very subpar and low-effort, with minimal sculpting done on it and a background printed on cardboard that includes a battlefield background on one side and a comic book cover on the other side. Suggested retail on this is $31.49, yet another bloated price hike for a standard quality non-deluxe action figure. Hasbro probably wants this to be the standard price, but yet again the quality doesn't reflect the price. It's a decent figure, but not worth $31.49. Notably, this is a fan channel exclusive, which means it will only be available through "collector" style shops, like Gamestop, Big Bad Toy Store, etc. Will likely be grabbed up by scalpers, like virtually all other exclusives.
