Thoughts on self-diagnosing (Schizoid etc) - NUANCE!
35Responding to a viewer's question on my original Schizoid video. This is a VERY rambly video done completely off the top of my head, so please forgive any inaccuracies or poorly worded arguments. I think I made my point though, there needs to be nuance in these things, and it very much depends on a person's circumstances. Unfortunately, both social media and mainstream media have a tendency to elevate more rigid and extreme positions instead of engaging in the deeper discussion required for topics as complex as the human mind. So of course, take what I say with a grain of salt, don't expect definitive answers, be honest with yourself, and question the biases of people who claim certainty in these matters.
Disclaimer: I haven't looked at anything from Ben Shapiro or Blaire White in a long time so chill out if I'm not hip with any recent developments or controversies. It's also been a while since I looked up the various conditions I reference in the video so I may misremember or misspeak. That's the nature of unscripted vlogs though! If you want perfection, you're in the wrong place.
